A message from Rolando
Amigos y amigas..hello, hello!
My 2010-11 season is over and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your love and support during this significant season in my career.
It has been an extraordinary year which included my debut at La Scala di Milan as Nemorino, my Mexican Project with the fantastic Bolivar Soloists, my debut at the Vienna Musikverein, and last but not least my professional Mozart-debut – first a concert with the Vienna Philharmonic in Salzburg, then “Il re pastore” in Zurich and finally my first Don Ottavio, with a dream-team, in Baden-Baden (I love Mozart!!).
I was very proud of my first staging and enjoyed a great collaboration with amazing colleagues while directing Werther in Lyon.
It was a year of expectations fulfilled, like “Werther” in Covent Garden with my dear Tony Pappano, and a few wonderful surprises, like the single performance of “Lucia di Lammermoor’ with the Metropolitan Opera in Japan.
Looking forward to another exciting season, I wish you all a wonderful summer – see you in September!
