Bremen and Brussels concerts explore music by Mozart and his contemporaries

Next week, Rolando sings Mozart with the Kammerorchester Basel in a program that places the Austrian master’s work alongside the music of his contemporaries. Led by conductor Rinaldo Alessandrini, Rolando will perform with the Kammerorchester at Die Glocke’s Großer Saal as part of Musikfest Bremen (September 11) and at the Palais des Beaux-Arts as part of the Klara Festival (September 14). The program will include concert arias such as “Va, dal furor portata” and “Or che il dover – Tali e cotanti sono” along with instrumental works by Salieri and Boccherini.

This summer, Rolando’s Mozart has been celebrated at festivals in Salzburg, Verbier, and Baden-Baden. Das Opernglas hailed his debut as Così fan tutte‘s Ferrando, calling the Mexican French tenor “ideal for the role – we have not heard a more beautiful, better sung and deeper felt ‘Un aura amorosa’ in a long time.”
