Making his return to the United States, Rolando to join the Philadelphia Orchestra as a featured soloist in Verdi’s Requiem

This fall, Rolando will return to the American concert circuit as a featured soloist in Verdi’s Requiem with the Philadelphia Orchestra. The Mexican tenor joins soprano Marina Poplavskaya, mezzo-soprano Christine Rice, bass Mikhail Petrenko, and the Westminster Symphonic Choir for four performances of the Italian composer’s monumental choral masterpiece. Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who begins his tenure as Music Director of the Philadelphia Orchestra next season, leads this exceptional group of musicians in three performances of Verdi’s Requiem at Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (October 19 to 21) and a single performance at New York’s Carnegie Hall on October 23.
