Rehearsals Begin for Die Fledermaus at Deutsche Oper Berlin


Following acclaimed productions of La Rondine at Deutsche Oper Berlin and La Traviata at Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Rolando Villazón returns to Deutsche Oper Berlin to direct a new production of Johann Strauss II’s famous operetta, Die Fledermaus. Opening on April 28, the production features Thomas Blondelle (Gabriel von Eisenstein), Annette Dasch and Hulkar Sabirova (alternating as Rosalinde), Nicole Haslett and Meechot Marrero (alternating as Adele), and Angela Brower (Prince Orlofsky). Donald Runnicles and Nikolas Maximilian Nägele conduct the Orchester der Deutschen Oper Berlin.

Performances continue into May and June, running May 1, 2, 8, 29; June 3 & 8.
