Rolando “powerfully radiant” as Lucio Silla in Bremen

After earning acclaim for his account of the role in Salzburg, Rolando Villazón has once again drawn praise from audiences and critics alike in Mozart’s Lucio Silla, presented as part of Musikfest Bremen.

Weser Kurier heralded the tenor’s “powerfully radiant voice” in his portrayal of Mozart’s eponymous Roman dictator, also noting that the role is “a feast for the singer.” Additionally, the Nordwest-Zeitung writes that Villazón “shines in the title role as a lover torn…he lives this character, almost overflowing with passion.”
