Rolando sings first performances of Martinu’s Juliette in Berlin

The coming month sees Rolando Villazón in a new production of Martinu’s Juliette, staged by the Berlin Staatsoper in the Schiller Theater. In a production helmed by Claus Guth and conducted by Daniel Barenboim, Rolando makes his role debut as Michel in the Czech composer’s lyrical work, based on the French play Juliette, or The Key of Dreams.

Rolando stars opposite Magdalena Kozena in the title role. The production premieres on May 28 with encore performances June 2, 5, 7, 10, 14, and 18. Click here for tickets.
