Rolando Villazón to return to Metropolitan Opera next season in Eugene Onegin


Next season Rolando Villazón will return to to the Metropolitan Opera in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. The Mexican French tenor will portray the role of Lenski – Onegin’s friend turned rival –  opposite Peter Mattei in the title character and Marina Poplavskaya as Tatiana, in a new production of Tchaikovsky’s romantic tragedy envisioned by English director Deborah Warner. Rolando’s performances, conducted by Alexander Vedernikov, take place November 23 to December 12, 2013. Reserve now.
