‘270 Years of Mozart’ Concert

As part of the 2026 Mozart anniversary celebrations, Rolando Villazón presents his program “Villazón & Mozart” at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival on August 7 and August 9, 2026.

The Guardian has described Villazón’s approach to the composer as “warm and passionate,” having recently recorded La clemenza di Tito and Die Zauberflöte with Deutsche Grammophon. Joined by countertenor Maarten Engeltjes, who also serves as musical director, soprano Sujin Choi, and the Baroque orchestra PRJCT Amsterdam, Villazón performs a selection of arias and scenes from Mozart’s operas, including Idomeneo, La clemenza di Tito, Lucio Silla, Mitridate, re di Ponto, and Die Zauberflöte.
