‘Serenata latina’ with Xavier de Maistre

This March and April, Rolando Villazón joins harpist Xavier de Maistre for Serenata latina, a joint recital that highlights composers from Villazón’s homeland of Mexico, as well as Latin and South America.  The program will feature songs and canzonas by Carlos Guastavino, Antonio Estévez, Yvette Souviron, Silvio Rodríguez, and others.

The duo begin their tour on March 11 at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, followed by performances on March 19 at Bremen’s Die Glocke, April 4 at the Heidelberg Congress Center, and April 10 and 13 at the Cultura Artística in Sāo Paolo, Brazil.
