‘270 Years of Mozart’ with Maarten Engeltjes and PRJCT Amsterdam
This spring, Rolando Villazón joins PRJCT Amsterdam on tour, celebrating the music of Mozart with a program of arias, scenes, and instrumental works from the composer’s most beloved operas. A passionate interpreter of Mozart’s works, Villazón has been praised for his performances and direction of Mozart and is the Artistic Director of the Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg.
Led by PRJCT Amsterdam’s Artistic Director, conductor and countertenor Maarten Engeltjes, Villazón and the orchestra will present selections from Idomeneo, Die Zauberflöte, Lucio Silla, La clemenza di Tito, Mitridate, and more.
The ensemble opens their tour on March 21 at the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, with performances on March 23 at Tonhalle Zürich, March 25 at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, March 28 at Alte Oper Frankfurt, and April 4 at the Gewandhaus Leipzig.
