A busy fall begins September 6 with “Orfeo son io” at Musikfest Bremen. Performed alongside the L’Arpeggiata Ensemble and led by Christina Pluhar, the program features works by Cavalieri, Monteverdi, Sartorio and more inspired by the myth of Orpheus. Rolando is joined by countertenor Philippe Jaroussky and soprano Céline Scheen.

Next, Rolando travels to the Buval Festival on September 11, performing with the Philharmonie Salzburg and conductor Elisabeth Fuchs. On September 18, Rolando joins “Anna Netrbko Inviting,” a birthday concert held at the Kremlin Palace. At the end of September, Rolando joins Mozartwoche on Tour, with two performances at Festival Ghent on September 20 and 21. On September 23 and 24, Rolando travels to Reutlingen for two concerts at Stadhalle Reutlingen with conductor Guerassim Voronkov and the Württembergische Philharmonie Reutlingen. Rolando closes out September with a performance in Istanbul with soprano Fatma Said, conductor Cemi’i Can Deliorman, and the Gedik Filarmoni Orkestrası.

Later in October, Rolando travels to Rolle, Switzerland, performing at the Gala Crescendo de la Musica on October 21. At the end of the month, he again joins the L’Arpeggiata Ensemble, bringing “Orfeo son io” to Musikverein Graz (October 30), Wiener Konzerthaus (November 1), and Paris’s Salle Gaveau (November 3). Rolando then travels to Luxembourg to present Mozart et les femmes on November 11, performing alongside soprano Mojca Erdmann, pianist Marie-Sophie Hauzel, and the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg. Elias Grandee conducts. On November 12, Rolando returns to Paris for the 20th anniversary of the Concert d’Astrée, led by conductor Emmanuelle Haïm.

At the end of the fall, Rolando returns to the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, performing the role of Papageno in the Metropolitan Opera’s Holiday Presentation of The Magic Flute on December 10, 14, 18, 21, 23, 27, & 29.
