On July 20, Rolando Villazón travels to Wiesbaden for an open-air concert of at the Rheingau Musik Festival. The yearly festival takes place in Germany’s Rheingau wine region, running from late June to early September and offering over 150 events at historic venues like Kloster Eberbach Abbey, Schloss Johannisberg, Schloss Vollrads, and the Kurhaus Wiesbaden.

Villazón appears with the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid under the baton of conductor Alondra de la Parra and is joined by mezzo-soprano Gaëlle Arquez. This vibrant concert features operatic and symphonic works that transport the audience to Spain. The repertoire features Suite Nos. 1 and 2 from Manuel de Falla’s ballet, El sombrero de tres picos, as well as selections from his Zarzuelas, and Suite Nos. 1 and 2 and arias from Georges Bizet’s beloved Carmen.
