Directing La Sonnambula at Théâtre des Champs Elysées

This June, Rolando Villazón directs La Sonnambula at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, making his Paris directorial debut. A co-production with Semperoper Dresden, the Metropolitan Opera, and Opéra de Nice Côte d’Azur, this production features soprano Pretty Yende as the titular sleepwalker, Amina. The cast also features Francesco Demuro (Elvino), Alexander Tsymbalyuk (Rodolfo), Annunziata Vestri (Teresa), Sandra Hamaoui (Lisa), and Marc Scoffoni (Alessio). Conductor Riccardo Frizza leads the Orchestre de chambre de Paris.

Performances run from June 15-26 and will be broadcast by France Musique.
